IMPALA

Antelope
Eastern and southern African woodlands

Active during the day (diurnal), Impala are both browsers and grazers. They are known for their leaping ability (heights of 10 ft and distances of 33 ft) and their speed (50 - 55 mph). Impala are also known for "pronking" or "stotting", jumping straight up into the air, as a signal to other animals including predators.
