Eastern and Southern African shrub-lands
One of the smallest species of antelope coming in at 12-15 inches tall and weighing only 7-13 lbs. Newborns weigh about 1.5 lbs and mature quickly (7 months). Dik-Dik live in monogamous pairs in a territory of about 12 acres. They are able to escape predators due to excellent eyesight and the ability to reach speeds of 25 mph while running in a zig-zag pattern.
