About the event

Behavior Analyst Rachel Schwartz, MS, BCBA, LBA-Tx, will lead a special presentation at the Bandera Natural History and Art Museum on Saturday, Dec. 13, which includes a walking tour of the museum’s native gardens, and help downloading the free application iNaturalist.

As part of the iNaturalist ambassador volunteer program, Schwartz teaches community members how to identify plants, birds, mammals, bugs, fungi and plant life. By doing this, she hopes to increase people’s connection to nature, encouraging its care and preservation.

iNaturalist data can be used to track invasive trends, changes in migration, and more using an algorithm combined with community-sourced identifications.
